The calculators and articles on this site are free to use for personal and commercial purposes. You may link to any page. You may not scrape the site into a competing product, misrepresent its results as your own certified advice, or attempt to disrupt the service.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is". Considerable care goes into the formulas, the documentation and the tests behind each calculator, but no warranty is made that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for a particular purpose. Conventions genuinely differ between countries, lenders, laboratories and kitchens; a calculator cannot know your specific circumstances.

Results are information, not advice

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or nutritional advice. The disclaimer explains this in more detail. Decisions with real consequences — signing a mortgage, changing a diet, dosing anything — deserve a qualified professional who can see your whole situation.

Limitation of liability

The operator of wati.dev is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, expense, liability or claim of any kind arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or its results, however the claim is brought, including in contract, in tort such as negligence, for breach of statutory duty, in misrepresentation or under strict liability, and whether or not the loss was foreseeable.

If that exclusion does not apply, for any reason and to any extent, the total aggregate liability of the operator arising out of or connected with this site, taking all claims together, is nil. This provision is separate from the exclusion above and applies independently of it.

Intellectual property

The design, text and code of this site belong to its operator. The mathematical formulas themselves belong to everyone; you cannot copyright the compound interest formula, and we would not want to.
