Using this site creates no professional relationship of any kind between you and the operator. No duty of care is assumed toward you or toward anyone who receives a result through you. Decisions with real consequences belong with a qualified professional who can see your whole situation: a doctor, midwife or dietitian, a licensed financial adviser, an accountant or tax authority, a lawyer, an engineer or building inspector, a veterinarian.

What a calculator cannot know

Every tool here works from the numbers you type and a published general-purpose formula. It knows nothing about you, your jurisdiction, your contract, your health, your building or your circumstances. It cannot see a typing mistake, a misread unit, a figure entered in the wrong currency, or a question you have misunderstood.

Conventions differ genuinely and legitimately between countries, lenders, laboratories, kitchens, trades and standards bodies. Where a calculation depends on an assumption, the page states the assumption rather than hiding it, and a different assumption gives a different answer that may be equally correct. Results are estimates. Rounding, floating-point arithmetic and display precision mean a figure shown here may differ from one produced elsewhere by a method that is no less valid.

Areas where a wrong number has consequences

Money, tax and pay. Loan, mortgage, interest, retirement, debt and net-worth tools use standard formulas and ignore fees, insurance, credit decisions, eligibility rules, compounding conventions and the offer an actual provider will make. Tax rates change with budgets, differ by state, province and municipality, and carry category exceptions no general calculator models. Pay and overtime results follow only from the inputs and multiplier you choose; they are not a determination of what any statute, award or contract owes anyone.

Health, fitness and food. Body-metric and dietary tools implement population-level estimation formulas with real error bars for individuals, and several are not valid for children, during pregnancy, or with a medical condition or medication that changes the picture. Pregnancy dating is established by a clinician. Maximal lifting carries injury risk. Fluid intake can be dangerous in excess as well as in deficit. Cooking times are estimates only, and doneness is judged with a calibrated thermometer against published safe internal temperatures, never with a clock.

Building, DIY and equipment. Material quantities, areas, room sizing and load figures are planning aids. They are not structural, mechanical or code advice, they do not replace a professional load calculation, survey or appraisal, and dimensions, thicknesses, depths and equipment selections must follow local building codes and manufacturer instructions.

Safety and weather. Where a page reports a risk band, such as the exposure time at which frostbite becomes likely, it reproduces a published planning threshold for a worst case, not a personal countdown. Do not treat it as a safety margin.

Animals, study and business. Life-stage figures for a pet are a chart, not a veterinary assessment. Grade and course calculations are subordinate to your institution's own rules. Business metrics, rate, fee and project figures are screening heuristics and editorial planning ranges, not valuation, procurement, pricing or investment advice, and not a quote.

Technical results. Network, timestamp, base-conversion and storage tools model a defined subset of their subject and omit cases outside it. The random number generator is not cryptographically secure and must never be used for anything where money, security or fairness depends on the result.

Figures taken from third parties

Some pages reproduce prices, rates, charts, thresholds and reference values published by other organisations, including cloud, model and payment providers, government agencies, standards bodies and professional associations. Those figures are reproduced in good faith as of the verification date shown, are not quotes, and go out of date without notice. Providers change prices, authorities change rates, and standards are revised. Confirm every such figure with its source before you commit money or make a decision on it.

Naming a company, product, standard or organisation identifies the source of a figure. It is not affiliation, sponsorship, partnership or endorsement in either direction, and all trademarks belong to their owners.

Advertising, links and third-party content

This site is supported by advertising and may display advertisements and link to other sites. Advertisers and linked sites are responsible for their own content, claims, products, offers and privacy practices. Indemnity

Copying a result link encodes the values you entered into the address itself. Anyone you send that link to can read those values, which on some pages are health or financial details. Share result links with the same care you would share the underlying numbers.
