Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens to your data when you use wati.dev. The short version: the calculators themselves collect nothing, no cookie is set until you ask for one, and Google Analytics counts page views without cookies unless you accept them.
What the calculators do with your numbers
Nothing. Every calculator on this site runs in your browser. The values you type — bills, birth dates, body measurements, loan amounts — are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. There are no accounts and no forms that submit data.
If you use the "Copy link" button, your inputs are encoded into the address in your clipboard. Anyone you share that link with can see those inputs, so share result links the way you would share the numbers themselves.
Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-2VXE1CYTE1, to see which calculators people actually use. It is the only third-party service on the site, and what it does depends on the choice you make in the cookie bar.
Before you choose, and also if you decline, the Google tag still records the page view but sets and reads no cookies. What reaches Google is the address of the page, the page you arrived from, your browser and screen size, and your IP address, from which an approximate location is worked out. Google states that Analytics does not log or store that address. Without a cookie there is no identifier joining one page view to the next, so these visits are counted but cannot be followed from page to page.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the two cookies listed below and can then recognise a returning browser, which is what turns loose page views into sessions and returning-visitor counts.
Analytics data is handled by Google LLC in the United States under Google's data processing terms and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. It is not sold and not used for advertising. Event-level data is kept for the retention period configured in the property, which Google sets to two months by default and allows to be extended to fourteen. You can also switch Analytics off across every site you visit with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Only the first two are cookies, and they exist only after you press Accept all. The other three are localStorage entries: they stay on your device, are never sent anywhere, are not used to identify you, and disappear when you clear your browsing data.
Your cookie choices
The bar at the foot of the page offers three buttons, all the same size and weight, because refusing has to be as easy as agreeing.
- Accept all turns on the Google Analytics cookies described above.
- Just what's needed leaves analytics running without cookies and keeps your theme and currency settings working.
- Decline all does the same and also erases those two settings, so the site stops remembering your appearance and currency from one page to the next.
Ignoring the bar changes nothing and counts as a refusal, which is why it keeps asking. Your answer is kept in a single entry called wati-consent and is asked again after six months. You can change it at any time through the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page, and changing it takes effect immediately.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site treats that as a refusal: analytics stays cookieless and the bar is not shown at all. You can still turn analytics on deliberately through the same Cookie settings link.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser identification, timestamp) for security and capacity purposes. Logs are not used to build profiles and are routinely rotated.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — under the GDPR in the EU, the UK GDPR, US state privacy laws such as the CCPA, Canada's PIPEDA, or the Australian Privacy Act — you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because this site does not collect personal data through its calculators, such requests will usually concern Google, and the policies linked above explain how to exercise your rights there. For anything else, contact us and we will help where we can.
For visitors in California and the other US states with comparable laws, the categories involved are identifiers (your IP address, plus a cookie identifier if you accept), internet activity (which pages you viewed and where you arrived from), and the approximate location derived from that address. All of it is used to measure how the site is used and for nothing else. It is not sold, and it is not shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. The Global Privacy Control signal is honoured as described above, and nothing on this site is withheld from anyone who declines.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted here rather than applied silently.
